Rural Clinic Exposure Initiative Information The Rural Clinic Exposure Initiative (RCEI) is a program designed to increase the amount of rural health professionals in southeast and south central Indiana by targeting students participating in clinical rotations and fieldwork opportunities, whom are already enrolled in health programs across the state of Indiana. RCEI helps students interested in rural and urban health professional opportunities find placements within our 24 county region, in hopes that they will be interested in working in the same type of rural location post-graduation, thus slowly lessening the amount of medically underserved areas in Indiana. We partner with university and college health programs, hospitals, health clinics, and other health care facilities to provide experiences for health professional students in rural areas. To this date, SE/SCI AHEC's RCEI Program has set-up relationships with well over 30 different health professions programs, including students from: - Indiana University School of Medicine School of Rehabilitation Sciences -Butler University School of Allied Health Sciences School of Pharmacy
-University of Indianapolis Krannert School of Physical & Occupational Therapy
-Ivy Tech Community Colleges Sellersburg Lawrenceburg Bloomington Columbus Richmond Madison
-Hanover College Health Professional Undergraduates If you would like to partner with us in our Rural Clinic Exposure Initiative as either a new health professional program or health care facility, please feel free to contact Chanelle McCreery either email cmccreery@hoosieruplands.org or phone 812-275-3182 or 1-800-276-3182.
