He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and Atmospheric Science from Indiana University. Michael and his wife, Erin, have a son Evan and two dogs Wrigley and Addy.

In this role she focuses her time on clinical and non-clinical experiences for undergraduate and graduate students and is the AHEC Scholar Lead. She enjoys helping each student navigate different possibilities for their future. She graduated from Indiana State University, majoring in Health Science with a concentration in Public Health and earned a Nonprofit Management Certificate. Her and her husband have two sons and a daughter. They enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with their family.
